电话录音卡: In the hours of distress and miser, the eyes of every mortal man turn to friendship;in the hour of gladness and conviviality ,what is our want?It is friendship. When the heart overflows with gratitude,or with any other sweet and sarced sentiment, what is the world to which it would give utterance?a friend.

People Can Be Really Mean

  • Relationships: Relationships with online associates can be very challenging!

I belong to a private club on the internet called Global WealthBuilders Offshore Privacy Club. People are always posting, posting, posting in the forum. It's become a rather large community with folks helping each other a lot. I joined a lot of forums a few years back, but they were mostly dealing with advertinsing, marketing and some form of programming. Once I became a member of this club and started visiting the forum, I became addicted.

When the club was originally in pre-launch we had a free forum to visit. I was always getting into trouble voicing my opinion about something. Once we were allowed in the paid members forum, I didn't do to much posting because of my experience in the free forum.

One day while visiting, I noticed a post about Meta Tags. It's little bits of information that the search engines looks for when you submit your site. One of the newbies was asking about putting some Meta Tags on one of his websites. There had already been several posts from individuals trying to help the poor guy out. One post had actually given suggestions on a description tag and a keyword tag. When I read them, I realized that the keyword tag would cause the poor guy to have his site spammed by the search engines, so I posted a reply explaining to the person that had put the information up, that they were trying to get the newbies spammed by the search engines.

His reply was definitely written in anger and he came off as a 'Mr. Know-It-All", which he didn't.  He was bragging about having websites in the search engine results that were always on the first page. He also stated he wasn't going to have any argument with me because he knew what he was doing. Couldn't tell it by the post! When I read the post again (with the suggestions in it), I realized that all the information was totally wrong! Then I realized, this was the guy that was always giving me problems in the free forum.

My response was to tell him to calm down, I wasn't there to argue. I was only there to help. He had stated that the information he posted was only suggestions for the newbies. I told him that the average newbie was going to just copy/paste the information into their web page, thinking everything was fine. Since he was supposed to be so knowledgeable about the subject, I reminded him that the information would have to have some adjustments before pasting it into the pages. I ended up putting a link to a page that I had been working on earlier that day. Before posting I went back to the page and added some more information.

Last I checked there have been no more suggestions or replies to that particular thread, not even from Mr. Know-It-All. On my web pages, I gave them enough information so they could fully understand how to do what they needed to do and sent them to other pages to help them generate the information. The generator I designed myself.

Arrogance doesn't look good on anyone. Never ever respond to a person like you know everything. If you did, your title would be GOD! I never claim to know everything, but I do enjoy sharing what I do know! I'm also willing to admit when I'm wrong, which Mr. Know-It-All will probably never do.
